GUIDELINES FROM THE CLUB

Dear Player,

We looking forward to welcoming you to Ascot Park Polo Club for the Joules UK National Women's Polo Tournament which is now in it's 19th year. Please find attached the draw and team sheet and below are a few important notes for all players.

All Players
  • Upon arrival, could all players go to the Players Marquee situated beside the Joules Marquee to register and collect their team shirts, if provided by Joules.
  • The draw and team sheets are posted on the IWPA website - www.iwpa.co.uk  - could all players make sure that they know the times of their matches and in particular the Sunday Finals.
Team Captains
  • Upon registering, the team captains will be asked to confirm which player will be providing the umpire pony to umpire the match that they are playing in. All umpire ponies must be taken to the pony lines at the arena and given to the umpire manager and collected directly after the end of the match
  • For the smooth running of Finals day, all team captains must confirm with polo manager Jenny Blake-Thomas on Saturday night  the time that their team will play on Sunday.  It will be the responsibility of each team captain to ensure that the complete team is prepared and ready along with their umpire pony for the Sunday Final.
  • On Finals day, team captains must ensure that all players come directly over to the presentation podium immediately after their Final . All prize givings will be made within 10 minutes after the final bell.
Livery
  • Any players who are staying over night at Ascot Park need to register at the Player Marquee and confirm the location of the stabling/coral. All livery arrangements must be booked and paid for before the weekend to avoid any handling of money over the weekend.
Argentine BBQ Asado - 6.30pm Saturday
  • Everyone is invited to stay on for our complimentary BBQ after the last game - there will be plenty of delicious BBQ for all to enjoy together with a cash bar.
Truck Parking
  • Please find attached a map to Ascot Park and at the entrance you will be told which ground you will be playing on and where to park your truck. All players of the same team will be parked together and all players whose ponies are staying at Ascot Park will be requested to drop their ponies in the pony lines and park their trucks in the polo yard across the road.
We look forward to a wonderful tournament and again want to thank Joules Clothing for their continued support of the largest women's polo event in the world.

Yours,

Victoria Grace
